The Full Story: How I Quit My Job

After a variety of factors had sprung up in my personal life, I felt the 9-5 grind was not working for me. It was really hard to get to that point because the truth is, I loved my job and the people I worked with. They were truly AMAZING! So it made leaving that much harder. After a series of events, it really got me thinking that the 9-5 hustle is not for me (at least in this stage of my life). You might be asking…didn’t you go to law school? Are you still going to be an attorney? The answer is YES! In fact, if you are interested in working with me in a legal capacity in your business, head over HERE for all the deets.

When I was first contemplating quitting my 9-5, it didn’t seem “responsible.” Truth is, in my 7 years of owning my photography buisness, I held so many self-limiting beliefs that held me back from believing I could take this full time or that it would ever be “legitimate.” I’m so glad God completely crushed and removed those beliefs in the few months leading up to my resignation (without me even aware of it really!). You’ll have to listen for the full story of how God truly led me to this place He knew I needed even when I was hesitant.

Setting Myself Up for Success

I knew working from home would be an amazing thing but also a tricky situation. I knew would miss the camaraderie from my colleagues and team members in the corporate world. And I anticipated that it might be hard to keep myself accountable and stay on track when I know I can just now roll out of bed and work in my PJ’s. I’m sharing my top tips for working from home in those early days of going full time. Let’s just say I’m planning to host team meetings with myself, and I’m so excited for it!

You CAN Do This!

Thinking about going full time in your own business? I believe in you and know with 100% certainty that you CAN do this. No doubt! Don’t let the self-limiting beliefs I was holding onto hold you back for as long as they did. Get out there and get going! Maybe you’re not in a place to go full-time now, but what baby steps can you implement today to get you that much closer to your goal? I’m rooting for you!
