#1 Tip- Get out there- practice and network!

When you are just starting out, it can be intimidating to get going. However, it’s crucial to start practicing often and in a messy way at the get go. Some ideas of how to do this often include reaching out to established business owners in your industry and asking if you can shadow them. Connect with other creatives in similar industries that can refer you. Organize offering services at a reduced or free rate for selective clients to grow your experience and market your business.

#2 Tip- Outsource your Social Media and Communicate Clearly

Social media can sometimes feel like a necessary evil in our businesses, but the fact is, it’s a great tool for reaching your people. That being said, you can let go of this part of your business if it’s not serving you or not bringing joy. You can outsource it to someone else to allow for more creative space in your brain and also clarify your messaging online. It’s important to be clear about where you are, what services you are, and how much you charge. Don’t make your online presence like a treasure hunt!

“Just because they think that doesn’t make it true.”

Life is too short to care too much about what other people think. The fact is, they probably are thinking about us less than we think they are. And even if they were thinking something negative about us doesn’t make it true. Let’s more past the insecurities that limit us in our business and step into full confidence as we serve our clients to the best of our abilities.
