Blogging Tips

In this episode, we cover why blogging isn’t dead. We also talk about what you should do for your blog post before publishing. Here is a summary of what to consider before making your blog public to the world.

1. Make sure to do your keyword research FIRST.
2. Include a few images in your post to make it more engaging!
3. Write at least 300 words that are readable (use transition words, active voice, and not too long of sentences).
4. Ensure your meta description and share image is optimized!
5. Add in a few external and internal links to keep your reader engaged.

If you use Showit (which you absolutely 100% should!!), your blog already comes with a basic version of the YoastSEO plug in. It’s basically an app that gives you a checklist of what to alter in your post to make it both readable and SEO friendly. Once you get the green light from YoastSEO, you know you’re on the right track.
