More often than not my couples want the classic Greenville, SC look for their photos. And what better way to capture that than Falls Park. Claire and Aidan’s engagement photos were the perfect example of classic Greenville locations with a fun twist. And they just prove that no two sessions look alike, even if they’re in the same locations. So many factors affect the final product: lighting, season, time of day, just to name a few. Here are my recommendations of the best Falls Park photo locations:
Wyche Pavilion. Fun fact, this open air structure is actually where my husband proposed to me! So it holds a lot of sentimental value for me. It’s such a classic, beautiful spot and great for days where weather seems iffy! The city has future plans for this space that have included closing it up. So it might not stand as it is for long, sadly.
Eugenia Duke Bridge. I call this the “green bridge.” For a less crowded feel, opt for the green bridge between Wyche Pavilion and the Lazy Goat area. It’s not quite as large as the Liberty Bridge, but it offers a more rustic feel and a lot less foot traffic.
Grand Bohemian Lodge. This new hotel is so stunning! Having a session in the lobby alone could be amazing if they allow it. But just outside is a beautiful space and courtyard. Around the holidays they also have a Christmas market which would be so cute for photos!
Falls Park. Just under the Grand Bohemian is a convenient stairway to Falls Park on the opposite side that most enter. You could use this side to access a great photo location without much company. Or you could enter the normal way through the park and over some rocks, be prepared!
Liberty Bridge. Of course, this is the iconic suspension bridge that everyone loves! It photographs beautifully as well. But be aware, there are lots of people at all times of day. You’ll need to dodge the crowds with a lot of stops and starts to get the perfect shot!
Behind Mary’s Cottage. Unfortunately this restaurant has temporarily closed, but the area behind the cottage is gorgeous! There seems to always be flowers in bloom and there are plenty of charming seating locations. I always try to make it here when I’m photographing in Falls Park.
