There are few things as special as capturing moments for someone who has been a part of your life for so long. Reagan and I have been friends since the 6th grade, so being able to photograph her maternity photos in Greenville, SC was such an honor for me. The setting for this beautiful session was the Milliken Arboretum in upstate SC—a place known for its rolling hills and open fields. (We won’t talk about how I briefly got locked into Miliken though! :))

The session took place under that hot June sun in SC. But even though Reagan was over 30 weeks pregnant, she handled it with grace and looking absolutely incredible. Tyler was a constant support by her side, and their joy and anticipation for the arrival of their little girl were evident.

We started the session with some classic shots amidst the lush greenery of the arboretum. But as the session continued, we found the best light of the evening. The sun was dipping lower in the sky and covered the perfect spot in a soft, golden glow that was too good to be true. My favorite photos from the day are from this part of the shoot, and it’s also when Reagan changed into her dress which we loved! It was an Amazon dress perfect for maternity portraits.
