Carly and Nas’s surprise proposal at Lake Hartwell was a beautiful, surprise moment, complete with golden retriever puppy! Nas’s sister reached out to me on instagram with the info. I was so excited to be able to capture the moment! The proposal unfolded at the family’s lake house in Clemson, on Lake Hartwell, where Carly and Nas would be getting ready for a “birthday dinner.”

The Perfect Surprise Moment

As Carly and Nas enjoyed the day with family, I made my way up to the location covertly. No, like for real, I had a secret parking spot and everything! I even got specially escorted to the spot so Carly wouldn’t suspect a thing. When the moment arrived, their golden retriever puppy, Theo, played a major part in the proposal.

Nas took Theo out for a “bathroom break” but really to get his cute little marriage proposal bandana on. Carly came out shortly after to “help,” and she found Theo excitedly wagging his tail with dad on his knee! It was a perfect moment, surrounded by nature. Lake Hartwell offered a scenic backdrop that made the proposal even more special. When family could finally come out of hiding, everyone celebrated the couple and we even snagged a few family photos. So much joy!
