Micaela and Noah’s wedding at the AC Hotel Greenville was a celebration of love and resilience. you see, this wedding took place the day after Hurricane Helene brought widespread devastation to our area. There were widespread power outages, road closures, and trees everywhere. But you seriously would never guess it by the smiles on these two’s faces the entire day! Despite the challenges, the Micaela & Noah’s joy and determination shone through. The AC Hotel was truly the real MVP, providing a glimpse of “normalcy” during a bit of a scary time. We danced, enjoyed a hot meal and electricity before making the dark drive home.

German Traditions

I loved the special touches this couple had throughout their day. Most notably was the German influences in the wedding. Micaela’s mom’s side of the family is German, so after their ceremony they participated in a “rope tradition” which included the couple pouring shots for everyone and signing a traditional song.

For the entire wedding, we were able to utilize the versatile space of the Reedy Ballroom in the AC Hotel. I highly recommend this spot as a more natural light, open alternative to AC’s Jasmine Hall next to the rooftop area.
