Welcome to the blog

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope this little missive finds you well and with a smile on your lovely face. It is an absolutely picturesque evening, and being in bed sick has really made me appreciate  the details I have been noticing in my own backyard. There’s just something about being under the weather that makes you get this wondrous sense of nostalgia. It could be the fact that there isn’t much else to do, but memories are fun and what I’ve decided are indicators of a blessed life. The extra time God plopped in my lap this week was not what I had intended nor has it been particularly easy. But with it, I have been able to slow down and reflect in a way I have not been able to in quite some time. And while physically I am still exhausted, it has been mentally refreshing.

I got to thinking. Every good brand and business has a reason behind what they do and why they want to do it that way. And after doing quite a bit of reading while simultaneously reflecting on my personal brand, I decided that the same is true for Nichole Lauren Photography. However, I had never officially recorded my goals and values. So I thought outlining my vision and sharing my heart would be an appropriate way to let you know where I stand and why it is important to choose wisely when it comes to who you do business with.
Helen Keller said, “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” Those are powerful words, and I believe she couldn’t have been more spot on. Everyone has a vision regardless of whether or not they declare one or whether or not they are an entrepreneur. We all have an overarching theme to our lives, and sometimes there are multiple themes and themes that come in and out for a season. Pinpointing where our passion lies is the key to unlocking enthusiasm and determination. The reason hindsight is 20/20 is because that’s when most people end up focusing on the big picture.
My vision is to inspire others.
It’s a nice little tagline. But a vision alone isn’t sufficient. While it is necessary to see the big picture, everyday I work with my clients I want to have a mission in mind to keep me on track for where I want to be with Nichole Lauren Photography. I am a dreamer, and while I love to dream big, I know it’s important for me to be grounded as well. Being all in with every moment right now leads to bigger rewards in consistency and progress down the road.
My mission is to inspire my clients by cultivating a relationship, learning their story, and capturing a creative peek at each life through my lens.
I love my job! I get to meet such a variety of people from all walks of life and get to take a part in helping them make memories, ones that will last them through their sick days and their healthy ones too. : ) I think that is such a high honor and privilege that I want to be reminded of each time I prepare for a session.
Colossians 3:23
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart.”
