Welcome to the blog

Earlier this week, I launched the brand new Nichole Lauren Photography website and told you to stay tuned to hear about the mini metamorphosis. I’m still so excited about the launch even days after it!! There’s just something so thrilling about a big reveal after you’ve worked hard imagining, creating, and designing a project. I hope you have enjoyed browsing around the little webpage to see all the new things Nichole Lauren Photography has to offer.  While the little refreshment is still recent, I wanted to take a minute and write a little update to highlight what’s new and let you know of some updated resources available to you! Plus, I have a few more beach pictures to share, and who doesn’t love the beach!
The first big change was from me merely posting on a blog to maintaining an actual full-blown website. Starting out, I needed somewhere to post my images where potential clients could access them, but I recently discovered the importance of having your own domain name. If you’re even thinking of opening a business or ever think you would even be slightly interested in posting work or writing online, buy your name in a domain! This is seriously so important. You can create your site later, but if by that time, someone else has bought the domain you want, you’ll be sorry.
The next change that was exciting for me was the increase in space. With the addition of webpages comes increased flexibility and organization. What once was a single gallery with several images now is several galleries tailored to meet each client’s need when they visit the site. So whether you’re seeking individual, couple, or family portraits, you can quickly and easily find samples of my work from the past in each area.

Another thing to make photo sessions even more personalized are questionnaires. My absolute favorite part of my job, hands down, is meeting each of you! Connecting with people from all walks of life just puts a spring in my step, and I have been brainstorming ways to do that better for a while. Over this summer, I’ve created individualized questionnaires to send you after a session is booked. They will help me understand your style and preferences plus give me ideas on locations to suggest for you. I get to know you better, and you get images that better match your unique disposition. Win, win for the both of us!!

But contracts aren’t the only paper products I’ve been hard at work on. The Nichole Lauren Photography portrait session contract has gotten a little face-lift too. I’ve incorporated what I have learned over the last half year into the contract. The most common questions are answered, the sections are more organized, and the wording is more clear. The impact of this is two-fold. For one, a more thorough contract gives me a way to cover topics you may have questions about before the session so that we can make the most of our actual time together. And at the same time, a thorough contract outlines the standards I have set for each session. I want you to be able to know what you can expect from me, and I also desire to ensure that each client experience is held to the same standard of excellence consistently during each and every session..

Another aspect I want to continue to keep consistent is the Nichole Lauren Photography brand. Since branding is a combination of everything you do on and offline, it’s important that your work is showcased in a space that matches your style, another reason to be excited about the new site! I have aimed to keep the layout clean and simple. I adore classic, timeless looks, and Nichole Lauren Photography is centered on this theme.

I am constantly seeking new ways to improve my little creative venture so that I can serve you better. Moving forward, I have made pursuing tools to increase efficiency a priority. I want to find ways to make the most of the time I have with clients which means taking care of a lot of business before sessions online. I’ve started with making it possible for clients to pay deposits online, and with that, I’m excited to explore other possibilities. As always, if you have any ideas, comments, or questions you want to shoot my way, don’t hesitate to contact me! I love hearing from you!!

Hope your weekend is terrific, friends!  Stay sweet!
