Haley and Daelan are no strangers to my camera! They have particiapted in numerous styled shoots with me in the past. But it’s been a minute since they played bride and groom! This real-life married couple is just the cutest! And I loved having them for our recent styled shoot wedding at Historic Hampton House. This is an all-new, stunning venue right in the heart of upstate SC! We got to be the FIRST wedding event in this space, and I could not be more thankful!

What is The Styled Event?

If you didn’t already know, I host styled shoot events for photographers to attend called The Styled Event. It’s so much fun for me! But more than that, I love empowering other photographers who may be just starting out or needing a refresh in their portfolio. Styled shoots were the biggest way I built up my portfolio when I was just starting out. They helped me land my first wedding clients 8+ years ago because I actually had portfolio to show.

The Wedding Walkthrough

This event was our second Wedding Walkthrough. What makes this event different from other styled shoots I host is that it’s much more intense. We go through an entire (condensed) wedding day to give you practice with ALL the elements. That’s right! We started with details and getting ready photos all the way to the sparkler exit.

For this event, we had two separate wedding concepts happening simultaneously. It was incredible! And our small group of attendees was able to rotate through and get personalized attention from me. We had a great group! The furthest someone traveled from was New York. I’m always so humbled and honored to see who attends! And my FAVORITE part is when I have someone show up to say, “This is my very first time photographing a bride and groom!”
