Reception Decor
One of the biggest visions I had for our wedding was having wisteria hanging above the dancefloor area. Think the wedding scene in Twilight but less woodsy. This 24-pack of silk wisteria comes in multiple colors and is perfect for my vision! Super high quality too.
Adding to the dreamy aesthetic, I want candles EVERYWHERE at our reception. On the sweetheart table, on the dinner tables, on the cake table. I picked up clear vases for the candles at the Dollar Tree, but the actual pillar candles can be much pricier. This six-pack has the perfectly sized white pillar candles for your typical cylindrical vases. We are using a few LED pillar candle packs for the ceremony since real flames aren’t allowed.
Are we noticing a pattern here. Add in some twinkly lights over the dancefloor, and we’ve got ourselves the most ethereal wedding vibe we are going for in 2021.
This next item gave me a pause. You would think a card box wouldn’t be the biggest deal, but I wanted it to still match with the decor and theme and be something I could repurpose later. This clear box with gold trim fit the bill! I can’t wait to use.
Petals can really add up. Opt for these very realistic faux flower petals instead. Needing some easy and affordable table decor? Wrap one of these greenery garlands around a cluster of the three pillar candles inside vases as mentioned above! Or spice things up with a few tea lights in these GORGEOUS gold mercury votives.
Tables are a easy place to DIY it. Grab some of these acrylic placecards and gold Sharpie paint pen and get to town writing names of your guests in a super cute way! If you want to reserve certain tables, these adorable 3D gold reserved signs will do the trick! Have a special sign or a table number you want to post? These small signs with gold trim are PERFECT!
Looking for the perfect exit other than the standard sparklers? Look no further than this biodegradable white confetti. Perfect for leaving the church or departing during a daytime wedding. Does your venue have restrictions on exits? These ribbon wands may be the best option to still give some fun while not causing any mess!
Bachelorette Weekend
I get so much joy out of giving gifts! So putting together goodies for my girls at various wedding events has been SO fun! I settled on these plain white gift bags that I personalized with their names via pink Sharpie. When I asked my girls to be a party of the wedding party, I included satin robes similar to these! I purchased this specific pattern for my flower girl!
Other small goodies are so fun to include! Luckily, Amazon has really cost-effective and cute options in bulk. There are these bachelorette pink cups. Or how about these ADORABLE engagement ring shaped hair scrunchies? My personal favorite was the heart sunglasses! I purchased the white rimmed ones for me and my girls, but I also got a pink pair just for me. The best!
Bouncing around a new city for your bachelorette weekend is 1000% more fun if you have some cute bridal accessories. Try out this Mrs. acrylic purse for a spin. This could also double as a wedding purse for all your necessities on the big day. Very classy! Heading to the beach? Opt for this straw bride purse with pom-poms instead (or in addition…we won’t judge :)). Nash bash? Yee-haw your way through Nashville in the most darling white cowboy hat with veil! Feeling spicy? Add in a little garter to your look to help you get into the bridal spirit!
Gifts for Brides
Being a photographer, I LOVE the little details. I have been playing around and photographing mine already, and I’m obsessed. There are so many ways you can elevate your details, starting with a velvet heirloom ring box. Choose a color that matches the bride’s wedding colors, and she will be SO grateful! Bride still looking for a wedding veil to round out her details? Amazon has so many options, but how about this lace cathedral veil?! She would love you forever!
One of my favorite parts about being a bride is all the little trinkets and items I can now get because of my new fiance/wifey status. There is just something about drinking out of a mug that says Mrs. like this one from Kate Spade. Or these CUTE slippers that say “I Do.” I love! While we’re on the topic of Kate Spade. These glitter sneakers are the best reception shoes.
Once your bride pal starts her married life, she will want some fun things to do with her hubby. Answering one question a day together for 3 years is a fun way to start keeping track of the new memories they will make together! For the more practical moments when the fancy wedding bands won’t cut it, how about getting her an assortment of silicone wedding bands suitable for any outfit or occasion. Finally, for a little spice at her shower, grab some dainty lingerie pj’s to get her ready for honeymooning!
