Rachel and Zachary are certainly familiar faces around here. These two stole my heart when I met them more than a year before their wedding date. And I of course wanted to have as many photo opportunities with them because not only are they absolutely stunning, but they also have the kindest hearts! I’m so happy to say these two became dear friends over the planning process, and I was so honored to photograph their gorgeous wedding at Gassaway Mansion.
You might remember their Downtown Greenville Engagement Session or their appearance as models in one of my Wedding Walkthrough Styled Events. You certainly could not forget Rachel’s Bridal Portraits with her adorable poodle, Miss Chanel!
This wedding day truly was the “ideal day.” We started with getting ready at Cotton Rouge’s awesome studio space. Rachel surprised her bridesmaids with a first look to see her all dressed up for the first time! Not a dry eye in the house, let me tell you. Then Rachel and Zachary shared a special “first touch” just around the front door of the beautiful Gassaway Mansion.
Their ceremony on the front steps and lawn hit right as the glowy light began to fill the sky, and Zachary’s tearful reaction to his bride’s grand entrance was nothing short of magical. We finished up portraits with the mansion behind the bridal party, and I pretty much could have retired at that point! The all black, classy attire against the backdrop of the mansion was simply too good to be true!
The reception was fun, full of dancing and laughing, and just so so happy! Rachel and Zachary partied hard, and they ended the night with an intimate last dance with just the two of them. As they swayed to the music, you could just feel the love they share and their excitement for this special day. Then they laid right on the dancefloor to soak up one last moment before it all ended.
But the party did not stop there! Rachel and Zachary made their grand exit amidst the sparklers and with the cutest outfit change ever, donning their custom jackets and making their way to their… vintage car! It was truly a perfect way to end the night.
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Zembko!
